Featured Craic Video – The Furey Brothers & Davey Arthur
Lasses and Lads, for your viewing pleasure…
The Fureys are an Irish male folk band (formed in 1978) initially of four brothers – Eddie, Finbar, Paul and George, from Ballyfermot, Dublin. They have also been credited as The Fureys and Davey Arthur. The Fureys is one of the main-stay bits of the Irish/Celtic culture that will forever live on. Over time, the natural process of moving on, or passing on, takes hold, but talented past contributions never leave the music all together. At present, the band is listed to include: Eddie Furey, George Furey, Davey Arthur, Luke Crowley & Danny Lynch.
They still continue to tour, bringing on a new, extremely talented lad here and there, and a new album is estimated to hit the shelves mid-January. It rumored to be named “Songs through the Years”. There will be 15 tracks on it – 2 instrumental and 13 songs (see below the video for the track names).
There are some from the Celtic Arts Center (in North Hollywood, CA) who have even been privileged enough to (unofficially) ceili dance up and down the aisles during one of their more recent Los Angeles shows.
